Terms and conditions

The software

1. Who owns it. YourIPLawyer.in and its software are owned and operated by Rohit Pradhan, who also wrote the software and holds its copyright. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean him.
2. Not an advertisement. This is a software tool, built from a lawyer's own experience, to serve other lawyers. It is not an advertisement, invitation or solicitation for any legal service. Using it does not create any lawyer and client relationship with anyone.
3. Who may use it. You confirm that you are an advocate, or a person working under the supervision of an advocate, and that you use the software for professional work.
4. Reminders only. The limitation and statutory periods in the software are default settings that you can change. They are not legal advice. They may be wrong, outdated, or unsuited to your court, statute, order or facts. You will check every period yourself against the law, the rules and the court's orders, and will not rely on the software alone.
5. Software can fail. Reminders may be wrong, late or missing because of bugs, wrong data entry, a wrong computer clock, power failure, data loss or any other reason.
6. No liability. Rohit Pradhan and YourIPLawyer.in are not responsible for any loss of any kind, including a missed limitation or deadline, dismissal, costs, or any claim by a client, arising from any reminder, wrong reminder, missing reminder, default period or glitch in the software. Responsibility for every deadline stays with you.
7. Your data. Your case data is stored on your own computer, and you are responsible for keeping backups. How we handle your registration details is set out in the privacy policy.
8. Licence. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the software. You will not copy, sell, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute it.

Free period and payment

9. Free period. The software is free for the first six months from installation. A gift code, where given, adds six more free months, once per person.
10. Subscription. After the free period, continued full use costs ₹200 a month, as of 2026. The amount may be revised from time to time; any revision is shown in the software before it applies to you. One subscription covers up to three computers of the same person.
11. How you pay. Payments are collected through Razorpay, by card, UPI, netbanking or any other method Razorpay offers. The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. If you subscribe during the free period, the first charge is taken only when the free period ends.
12. If a payment fails or you cancel. You get seven days' grace. After that the software becomes view-only: nothing is deleted, all your records stay readable, and subscribing again restores editing at once.
13. Donations. "Donate us?" payments are voluntary, do not buy any feature, and change nothing in the software.
14. Refunds. Cancellation and refunds are covered by the refunds and cancellation policy.

General

15. Changes. These terms may be updated. You will be shown updated terms in the software and asked to accept them before continuing.
16. Law and courts. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi shall have jurisdiction.
